| Περίληψη: | Students need to have the right competencies and resources to do exceptionally well in today's progressive and intertwined world, where needs and situations are ever-changing. In the current milieu, traditional teaching approaches that solely rely on textbook knowledge are insufficient. Strictly concentrating on academic achievement may impede their growth in other domains. Students' overall well-being--which encompasses their intellectual growth as well as their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects--requires holistic development. As students develop new skills and positive character traits, their confidence and sense of self-worth increase. Mindfulness, meditation, relaxation techniques, group discussions, and role-playing are regular components of this all-encompassing approach, which aims to enhance an individual's emotional, social, and mental well-being. In view of the present circumstances, the curriculum has been updated to make it more flexible, interactive, and customized to fit the requirements and interests of students. It explores the notion that teaching pupils 21st-century abilities can promote their personal growth, emphasizing that this development extends beyond the classroom. According to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, these skills hold great value in this discipline as they enable individuals to view development from diverse perspectives. Important insights into the importance and influence of 21st-century skills can be gained by carefully examining policy documents and research studies on the subject. It presents a compelling argument for the merit of these skills in the contemporary world and the impact they can have on both individuals' lives and society as a whole. The policy's scope and application are increased by specific issues and workable implementation solutions. An overview of a few fundamental questions has been addressed by the paper's authors to cast light on the relevance of enhancing personality and skills pertinent to the 21st century in their role in strengthening learners. In this paper, the Authors have inquired into a crucial moment in the expansion of holistic education and uncovered the Panch Kosha concept as a holistic framework that provides profound perspectives into human development, well-being, and spiritual growth. They explored the ramification of this concept for contemporary psychology, education, and healthcare, emphasizing its prospects to promote a more intensive and unified realization of human nature. The knowledge of the Panch Kosha concept and its practical applications encourages further investigation and incorporation into diverse disciplines. The focus is on the urgency of endowing students with pertinent skills for the modernized world. Moreover, this study delves into the recommendations put forth by NEP 2020 for fostering 21st-century skills and re-envisioning holistic personality development. This paper emphasized the role of various stakeholders in promoting 21st-century skills and overall development. Thus, the conclusion underscores the need for actionable steps. This paper utilized a theoretical exploration and policy review to explore the subject matter thoroughly. |
