Περιγραφή: [Objective] The FAO (fully automated operation) system must utilize a skip mode to correct train position deviations when precise stopping is not achieved. Due to differences in interface configurations between the signaling system and the train traction/braking system under this mode, there is a risk of skip failure, necessitating dedicated in-depth research. [Method] Starting from the definition of train skip mode, the study analyzes its functional requirements. Using a FAO project in China as a case study, a comparative analysis is conducted between the existing and optimized schemes in terms of safety and availability. [Result & Conclusion] The optimized scheme distributes light braking force evenly to the second bogie of each car, thereby reducing the influence of static friction from the first bogie and mitigating its impact on the overall train braking force. Meanwhile, the scheme increases the traction level for train startup, ensuring—both through theoretical calculation and real-vehicle validation—that the train can successfully initiate movement under various conditions. This significantly enhances FAO system availability.
