Περιγραφή: ObjectiveThe structural composition and working conditions of hybrid electric engines are different from those of traditional fuel vehicle engines. As an important component of engines, the timing silent chain system still lacks design improvements and simulation verification for hybrid working conditions. Based on the actual working conditions and structural composition of a hybrid electric engine, the design calculation and simulation analysis were conducted of its timing silent chain system.MethodsThe structural layout, chain length, chain plate and sprocket of the timing silent chain system were designed and calculated, and a three-dimensional model was established. Combined with the given working conditions, the multi-body dynamics simulation method was used to study the dynamic characteristics of the designed timing silent chain system, and the dynamic parameters such as its trajectory and instantaneous transmission ratio were analyzed. The static analysis, modal analysis and frequency response analysis of the system were carried out by using the finite element analysis method, and the strength, stiffness and vibration characteristics of the system were discussed.ResultsThe research results show that the proposed design and analysis process is in line with the requirements, which can meet the motion stability of the timing silent chain system, and meet the strength and stiffness requirements of the system structure. Resonance does not occur during the normal operation. The design method will provide reference for the subsequent design and optimization.
