| Περιγραφή: | Spatio-temporal database is a new type of database that manages spatio-temporal objects and supports corresponding query languages. If position and/or extent of an objects changes continuously, we talk about moving object database. Standard operations on non-moving objects can be applied to moving objects through a process of temporal lifting. In this paper, a generic JAVA implementation of moving objects is explored. A framework for implementing moving objects, with emphasis on the concept of lifting, is presented.
