En este artículo se asume que el Tangram no es únicamente un juego de entretenimiento, sino un material manipulativo que funciona como un sistema de representación de propiedades tanto geométricas como de los demás sentidos matemáticos. Desde este punto de vista, se presenta una selección de actividades con el Tangram organizadas por bloques de contenido matemático (numeración y cálculo, álgebra, geometría, medida, estadística y probabilidad) y por edades (3-6 años, 6-8 años, 8-10 años, 10-12 años). Con el propósito de ejemplificar algunas de las actividades más representativas, se desarrollan nueve propuestas para implementar en las aulas de infantil o primaria ; This article suggests that Tangram is not just a game for entertainment, but a manipulative tool that serves as a system for representing both geometric properties and other mathematical concepts. From this perspective, a selection of Tangram activities is presented, organised by mathematical content standards (number and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, statistics and probability) and by age group (3–6 years, 6–8 years, 8–10 years, 10–12 years).
