| Περιγραφή: | Introduction. The article is devoted to the issue of Ukrainian-language adaptation of the common psychodiagnostic tool – test “Unusual use” developed by J. Guilford – within the framework of improving the system of psychological support of work with the staff of the National Police of Ukraine. The method has been used by psychologists since the middle of 1960s for professional selection and psychological support of staff of many organizations, including law enforcement agencies. There are no Ukrainian-language versions of this test for police officers and cadets in our country yet, although its structure and diagnostic capabilities are suitable for use in state law enforcement agencies. Purpose. The purpose of the article is: a) to translate the text of the Guilford’s test from English into Ukrainian; b) to conduct a survey involving approximately three hundredcadets and employees of the National Police of Ukraine from various departments; c) to find out the average test norms and the main psychometric characteristics of the adaptedtest “Unusual use”. Methods. The main research methods were: a) methods of analysis of scientific sources, b) psychological diagnostics, c) testing of National Police officers in order to obtain the results for men and women, surveys of teachers and course officers, expert evaluation, d) statistical methods including in order to determine the main psychometric characteristics of the adapted test (was carried out using the standardized package of IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 programs). Originality. For the first time in the article the Ukrainian language adaptation of the Guilford’s test “Unusual use” for Police personal was carried out. Also in the article the average test norms for Police officers and cadets are presented, as well as the main psychometric characteristics of the adapted test - construct validity, reliability (retest and parallel forms), internal consistency of scales, etc.). Thus the adapted Guilford’s test provides a comprehensive psychological diagnosis of some important psychological characteristics of divergent thinking, included in quantity of thinking process, flexibility and originality. Conclusion. It is shown that with the results of adapted Guilford’s test “Unusual use” the psychologist can determine the level of creativity of Police officers and cadets, as well as some informative it’s components , such as quantity, flexibility and originality. It is noted that the majority of cadets, who are characterized by experts as successful, demonstrate normative and increased indicators of creativity. The results of the study confirmed the significant psychodiagnostic capabilities of the adapted test "Unusual use" and the expediency of its use in the process of psychological support of training of Police officers and cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the state and police NPU. Стаття присвячена проблематиці дослідження психодіагностичних можливостей адаптованої методики «Незвичайне використання» Дж. Гілфорда з метою вивчення індивідуальних особливостей курсантів закладів освіти МВС України з специфічними умовами навчання і працівників поліції. Наразі не розроблено українськомовних варіантів цього тесту для правоохоронців, хоча його психодіагностичний потенціал досить вагомий і може використовуватися в процесі психологічного супроводу працівників сектору безпеки й оборони нашої держави. В статті представлено теоретичні засади і структуру експериментального дослідження. Авторами представлено українськомовний текст і ключі до тесту, розкрито методику його використання практичними психологами з метою дослідження показників креативності особистості. Також у статті наведені основні психометричні характеристики цього тесту: критеріальну валідність, надійність (ретестову і паралельних форм), внутрішню узгодженість тощо, наведені середньостатистичні тестові норми і дані щодо статистичного зв’язку креативності з успішністю навчання. Показано, що за результатами виконання даного тесту психологи можуть досліджувати творчий потенціал курсантів і поліцейських, прогнозувати успішність майбутньої професійної діяльності. В статті зазначено, що більшість курсантів, які характеризуються експертами як успішні, демонструють нормативні і підвищені показники креативності (кількість, гнучкість і оригінальність). Результати дослідження підтвердили значні психодіагностичні можливості адаптованого тесту «Незвичайне використання» і доцільність його використання у процесі психологічного супроводу діяльності поліцейських і навчання курсантів закладів вищої освіти МВС держави. |
