| Description: | The article describes ensuring the growth of the professional competence of teachers through participation in the “Teacher of the Year” competition, the possibility of forming an author's position regarding the implementation of one’s own pedagogical activity, promoting the development of professional competence. The need to demonstrate the professional skill of a teacher in an institution of general secondary education today takes on a new meaning in the aspect of implementing the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Education”, the order of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine dated 23.12.2020, No.2736 On the approval of the professional standard for the professions “Teacher of primary classes of an institution of general of secondary education”, “Teacher of a general secondary education institution”, “Teacher of primary education (with a diploma of a junior specialist)”, order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 09.09.2022, No.805 “On approval of the provision on the certification of teaching staff”. The peculiarities of the activity of the organizing committee of the 1st round of the Competition to ensure the openness of the competition, transparency in the work of the jury and recognition of winners, laureates and finalists have been determined. The effectiveness of the personal approach of each competitor in determining their own pedagogical idea, the argumentation of the chosen forms and methods, taking into account age characteristics during such competitive competitions as “Methodical practicum”, “Methodical impromptu”, “Workshop”, which require participants to have real professional mobility, is characterized , ability to reflect, creativity. According to the results of the survey of potential participants of the first round of the “Teacher of the Year” competition in the Zhytomyr region, motivational components were determined that affect the desire of teachers to participate in the competition, in particular, the possibility of pedagogical demonstration of one's own professional improvement, the use of models and methods of sharing advanced pedagogical experience for the organization of educational process in a general educational institution. У статті охарактеризовано забезпечення зростання професійної компетентності педагогів через участь у конкурсі фахової майстерності “Учитель року”, можливості формування авторської позиції щодо здійснення власної педагогічної діяльності, сприяння розвитку професійної компетентності. Визначено особливості діяльності організаційного комітету I туру конкурсу із забезпечення відкритості перебігу змагань, прозорості в роботі журі та відзначення переможців, лауреатів і фіналістів. Визначено мотиваційні складові, які впливають на бажання педагогів долучитися до участі в змаганнях, зокрема можливість здійснення педагогічного демонстрування власного професійного вдосконалення, використання моделей та прийомів обміну передовим педагогічним досвідом для організації навчального процесу у загальноосвітньому закладі. |
