DOCUMENTARY SOURCES OF UKRAINIAN STUDIES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF FOREIGN HIGHER EDUCATION (MID-1990s – EARLY XXI CENTURY)

| Περιγραφή: | This article conducts a selectively representative analysis of Ukrainian scientists’ studies on the development of foreign higher education, grouping and elucidating informative features of their source materials. Based on criteria such as origin, official status, and informational content, Ukrainian scientists’ documentary sources on foreign higher education development are classified into five groups: official normative-legal documents, educational standards, and other educational-methodical support; materials from periodicals; statistical materials. This primary classification scheme is further nuanced by additional gradations of source materials. Institutional characteristics distinguish documents from political and economic organizations at the international and regional levels, intergovernmental associations in education, university and scientific-academic associations, individual universities, and public cultural-educational societies. Content and professional orientation identify universal documents outlining general principles and principles of global and regional education development, specialized documents concerning the development of specific knowledge areas and specialties, and educational-methodical materials. Based on the analysis of over 120 doctoral and candidate dissertations on the development of higher education abroad, the article demonstrates the diversified documentary foundation of comparative studies, influenced by their subjects, tasks, and the peculiarities of national and regional higher education systems. У статті на основі вибірково-репрезентативного аналізу досліджень українських науковців про розвиток зарубіжної вищої освіти згруповано та з’ясовано інформативні особливості їх джерельних матеріалів. За критеріями походження, офіційний статус, інформаційно-змістове наповнення, нагромаджені у студіях українських учених документальні джерела про розвиток вищої освіти в зарубіжжі класифіковано на п’ять груп: офіційні нормативно-правові документи; освітні стандарти та інше навчально-методичне забезпечення; матеріали періодичної преси; матеріали статистики. Показана диверсифікованість документальної бази компаративістських досліджень, яка зумовлена їх предметом і завданнями та особливостями національних і регіональних систем вищої освіти. |
