| Περιγραφή: | The article examines the basics of emotional and ethical competence, in particular in the context of humanities disciplines such as Ukrainian and English languages and literature, and how language tools and literary texts can help in the formation of emotional and ethical qualities in students; describes the influence of cultural and literary disciplines on the emotional and moral training of students, as well as the relationship between ethical and emotional aspects of learning; analyzes the role of the concept of “courage” in literary works and its impact on the emotional and ethical development of young people; outlines the status of. Emotional and ethical competence is understood as an important component of modern education, which contributes not only to the development of students' intellectual abilities, but also to adaptation to a rapidly changing world, where not only knowledge is needed, but also moral and ethical guidelines, emotional stability and the ability to act in difficult situations. The study of Ukrainian language and literature, including English, is an important aspect in the formation of students’ emotional and ethical competence, as literary works contribute to the development of not only language skills but also a deep emotional and moral perception of the world. Linguistic and cultural concepts have been repeatedly the subject of scientific research by M.Alefirenko, O.Blyzniuk, I. Holubovska, and others, and theoretical aspects of emotional and ethical competence have been studied by I.Ivanova, T.Petrynenko; L.Vasylieva, and others. The article involves a linguistic and didactic analysis of the concept of courage as a marker of the expression of religious and moral and ethical norms in the Ukrainian language and means of forming students’ emotional and ethical competence in Ukrainian, English language and literature classes and solving the following tasks: to study the basis of emotional and ethical competence, in particular in the context of humanities disciplines such as Ukrainian and English languages and literature, and how language tools and literary texts can help in the formation of emotional and ethical qualities in students. In the course of studying Ukrainian and English language and literature, students have the opportunity not only to get acquainted with texts depicting characters who demonstrate courage in various forms (both external and moral), but also to analyze their actions in the context of ethical issues that arise in the course of literary works. Formation of emotional and ethical competence through the concept of courage in Ukrainian and English language and literature classes contributes to the development of students’ language skills, as well as important moral and emotional qualities that will be necessary for successful integration into society, the ability to make responsible decisions and build harmonious interpersonal relationships. У статті досліджено основи емоційно-етичної компетентності, зокрема у контексті гуманітарних дисциплін, таких як українська й англійська мови та літератури, і як мовні засоби та літературні тексти можуть допомогти у формуванні емоційних й етичних якостей у студентів; описано вплив культурно-літературних дисциплін на емоційну й моральну підготовку студентів, а також зв’язок між етичними та емоційними аспектами навчання; проаналізовано роль концепту «відвага» в літературних творах та його вплив на емоційно-етичний розвиток молоді; окреслено статус концептів, зокрема «відвага», у процесі формування емоційно-етичної компетентності на заняттях з літератури; розглянуто методи й підходи, що застосовують для розвитку емоційно-етичної компетентності через вивчення української, англійської мов та літератур; з’ясовано значення концепту «відвага» в українській літературній традиції та його роль у вихованні молоді через літературні тексти. |
