| Περιγραφή: | The article argues that media education is one of the determining trends in thinking about the workings of media in society. It is noted that in recent years there has been a process of institutionalization of this field, both around the world and in Ukraine. The variety of views on the phenomenon of media education in the works of scientists is analyzed. The necessity of considering media education in the system of social communications is substantiated, allowing us to present a holistic view of this phenomenon and its manifestations in various fields. The entire variety of social institutions is considered, among which cumulative and non-cumulative (according to A. Sokolov) can be distinguished. It is noted that according to their basic functions, social institutions can be divided into generative (those that create new information), transitional (those that are responsible for its dissemination) and terminal (those that primarily store information). It is stated that all of them generate numerous informational flows and form a system of interconnections, both at synchronous and diachronic levels. The article aims to prove that a moving informational message undergoes a complex way from generative, through transitional to terminal social institutions. At the same time, at almost every stage there is a process of selection for certain characteristics that is common to the activities of all social institutions. It is emphasized that the message is at risk of getting distorted throughout its entire life cycle. Moreover, the longer its life cycle, the greater the threat of distortion. A way to prevent this is media education. The conclusion is drawn about the need for media education as one of the main areas of activity and cumulative and non-cumulative social institutions. У статті розглянуто медіаосвіту як один із визначальних трендів у роздумах щодо функціонування мас-медіа в суспільстві. Наголошено, що останніми роками відбувається процес інституалізації цього напряму, як у світі, так і в Україні. Проаналізовано широкий спектр поглядів на феномен медіаосвіти у працях науковців. Обґрунтовано потребу дослідження медіаосвіти в системі соціальних комунікацій, що дасть змогу сформувати цілісний погляд на цей взаємозв'язок і його прояви в різноманітних сферах. Проаналізовано соціальні інститути, поміж яких вирізняємо кумулятивні й некомулятивні (за А. Соколовим). Зазначено, що за основними функціями соціальні інститути поділяються на генеративні (створюють нову інформацію), транзитні (відповідають за її поширення) та термінальні (зберігають інформацію). Констатується, що вони породжують численні інформаційні потоки й утворюють систему взаємозв'язків як на синхронічному, так і на діахронічному рівнях. З'ясовано, що інформаційне повідомлення проходить складний шлях від генеративних — через транзитні — до термінальних соціальних інститутів і майже на кожному етапі відбувається спільний для діяльності всіх структур процес селекції за певними ознаками. Зауважено, що повідомлення перебуває під загрозою спотворення впродовж усього життєвого циклу, і що він триваліший, то більший ризик деформації. Формою запобігання цьому явищу є медіаосвіта, яка нині має становити один із головних напрямів діяльності кумулятивних і некомулятивних соціальних інститутів. |
