Description: The article deals with the actualization of the phenomenon of aggressive conflict behavior not only in the modern subcultural and countercultural communication but also in the mainstream one. It investigates the essence of verbal aggression as a multi-level phenomenon with ambivalent interpretations in modern science. Various forms of manifestation of verbal aggression in political communication are analyzed, and the interrelation between the specific features of the communicative situation and the behavior of its participants is determined. Verbal aggression is considered as a linguistic, psychological and legal category, which allows one to study the behavioral patterns of communication participants from different positions and establish a wide range of reasons for the spread of destructive patterns in modern communication. The essential characteristics of verbal aggression are classified according to different criteria. Stating, provoking and manipulative types of verbal aggression are distinguished with reference to the target settings.
В статье рассматривается актуализация феномена речевой агрессии в современной политической коммуникации.
