| Περιγραφή: | The growth of such global interdependent communication relations has been greatly accelerated by the advent of decentralizing communication technologies such as Internet networking. Global civil society now represents a new force in international relations. The present thesis tackles upon the urgent problem of global civil society. The structure hasn't been formed yet but there is rather a big number of civil initiatives that cannot be considered only as a number of independent projects. The global civil society itself has a very complex «widgets palette». The various civil organizations are considered by many political analysts to be a central component of the global civil society. Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) today encompass private citizens and national interest groups from all spheres of human endeavor. Their huge increase in number and power is due in no small measure to the development of globe-girdling communications technologies. New communications technologies now facilitate communication among and between the world's national civil societies, especially within the fields of human rights, consumer protection, peace, gender equality, racial justice, and environmental protection. The global civil society is seen by many analysts as an extension of the rule of law and political community beyond national boundaries. For its most radical advocates, the global civil society is about political emancipation, the empowerment of individuals and the extension of democracy. So the role of human rights', gender, environmental and anti-globalistical organizations is especially important in this respect. For global civil society theorists, it is non-state actors which are held to have overcome the empirical and ethical divide between the domestic political realm and the international. Проанализированы функционально-организационные особенности деятельности глобального гражданского общества, очерчена специфика его центральных элементов: международных общественных организаций. Рассмотрена роль правозащитных, гендерных, природоохранных и антиглобалистских организаций как основного структурного элемента глобального гражданского общества. |
