Description: Moral and ethical regulation of the medical profession is one of the important tools that justify the modern multi-level regulation of relations that arise in the process of providing medical services. The article shows that each epoch has formed its own criteria of morality and ethics, its own set of norms of behavior and morality, understanding of purpose and obligations. Analyzed historical aspects of the formation of the moral and ethical principles of the doctor's activity, the formation of a set of norms, customs, which, on the one hand, regulate, delineate professional duties, and on the other, show the specificity of professional relations in the medical industry.
