Description: The article deals with the issues of modeling the speech portrait of a personality in a fiction text with the help of semantic and pragmatic linguistic means. On the basis of a broad theoretical base, the author shows the correlation between the concepts of “speech portrait” and “linguistic personality” and comes to the conclusion about the mutually conditioned nature of these concepts, which is confirmed by the analysis of grammatical and semantic features, thesaurus and pragmatics of linguistic personality. On the example of the domestic TV series “Method”, the author analyzes the linguistic means of creating a speech portrait of the main character, police major Rodion Meglin. As a result of the textual study, it was concluded that the speech portrait of the hero consists of such characterological traits as professionalism, conciseness, irony amounting to sarcasm, aggressiveness, sociopathicity.
