| Description: | This article criticizes differentiation principles in R. Merton’s types of individual adaptation theory. It suggests a more general typology entailing the reinterpretation of Mertonian forms of individual adaptation and introducing a few additional ones. Basing on this typology, it sketches out a differentiation between negative, positive, and conditionalsocial deviation. This enables to take into consideration the conditions of postmodern society that erode once strong and formal criteria defining the deviant behaviour; it also highlights those criteria as relative. The article further outlines the direction for rethinking classic anomie theory that meant to distinguish between negative and positive anomie; this approach provides a more balanced and tolerant way to look at the diversity of values and views. В результате критики оснований выделенных Р. Мертоном типов индивидуального приспособления предлагается вариант расширенной типологии, предусматривающий переинтерпретацию указанных Р. Мертоном форм индивидуального приспособления, а также введение дополнительных типов. Понятие социальной девиации дифференцируется на негативную и условную, выделяется позитивная девиация, обозначается направление переосмысления «классической» теории аномии путём разграничения негативной и позитивной аномии. |
