Formation of a new technological structure (information economy) is due to the information technology revolution (end XX mid XXI) 1 and is accompanied with the dominance and intensive development of intellectual and information resources, actualization of intellectual labor, and information technology 1,2. In this regard, the program of the Government of the Russian Federation Digital Economy of the Russian Federation which provides for the development of effective platforms and technologies in achieving the targets of domestic economy, indicates the need to develop innovative and strategic solutions in the development of modern educational areas, which should include training of effective management personnel in IT sphere. At that, Business Informatics direction formed at the beginning of this century and which exists no more than 10 years is paid a particular attention. There should be a specialized personnel (bachelors and masters), capable of forming the intellectual capital, of developing and implementing an information mechanism of management at different levels of hierarchy and organizational and economic structures in a high tech intellectual environment in order to ensure a competitive type of reproduction in the economy. The goal of the research is to consider the factors, conditions and prospects for development of the educational direction Business Informatics in the domestic scientific and educational environment, to identify the opportunities for cooperation between universities, business and IT companies in the field of science, technology, innovation and to reveal the state support of this cooperation, directions and tools of modernization of the educational direction in view of changes in information and intellectual potential and globalization of educational space. Practical significance of this paper is to identify positive and negative trends in the development of educational IT environment and to develop recommendations for the development of tools in order to integrate the interests of employers and IT professionals in the implementation of effective business models. Results. Business informatics is a popular area in higher professional education, which is caused by the urgent need for specialists in the field of information systems (IS) and information and communication technologies (ICT), preparation of such specialists should contribute to the effectiveness of modern business. Currently, there is an acute shortage of such personnel, and their training does not meet the growing requirements of the digital economy. Conclusion. Based on the practical experience of the authors in the organization of Business Informatics (Bachelors and Masters programs), problem areas in its implementation in regional universities were studied. Experimental data and complex responses of functioning and transformation of educational process with the trends of its perfection were obtained. The concept for improving the personnel training in the field of ITsphere management, for forming an effective enterprise architecture, mode of interaction between regional universities and business structures focused on the optimization of educational process in the chain statescience educationbusiness was offered. A structuralfunctional model for developing a strategy of modernization of educational direction Business Informatics was elaborated.
