| Περιγραφή: | At the end of December 2022, the Republic of Korea adopted its “Strategy for a Free, Peaceful and Prosperous Indo-Pacific Region”, expressing thus solidarity with the initiative of a “free and open Indo-Pacific region” promoted by the United States and its allies. This step, on the one hand, is a formality — the Republic of Korea has not yet joined to any new military alliance or QUAD. On the other hand, the thesis about the interconnection of the security issues of the Indo-Pacific and European regions, more and more often repeated by Seoul and Tokyo, and obvious intentions of these states to become a “link” in this interconnecting trend clearly contribute to the development of the ideological split in Asia Pacific, which, in turn, brings a threat of making the geopolitical situation in the region and whole world more complicated. The article investigates the new tendencies in foreign policy of the Republic of Korea and their potential consequences for the relations of this state with its neighbors. В конце декабря 2022 г. Республика Корея приняла свою Стратегию свободного, мирного и процветающего Индо-Тихоокеанского региона, выразив, таким образом, солидарность с инициативой “свободного и открытого Индо-Тихоокеанского региона”, продвигаемую США и их союзниками. Данный шаг, с одной стороны, является формальностью: Республика Корея пока не вступила в какой-либо новый военный союз и не присоединилась к стратегическому диалогу QUAD. С другой стороны, всё чаще звучащий со стороны Сеула и Токио тезис о взаимосвязанности безопасности Индо-Тихоокеанского и Европейского регионов и явные стремления этих государств стать в этой тенденции “связующим звеном” явно способствуют развитию идеологического раскола в АТР, что, в свою очередь, грозит осложнением геополитической ситуации в регионе и в мире. Статья исследует новые тенденции во внешней политике Республики Корея и их потенциальные последствия для взаимоотношений этой страны с её соседями. |
