| Description: | By the beginning of 2023 there are four objects registered in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage nominated by the DPRK. These are the folk song Arirang, the tradition of kimchi-making kimjang, traditional Korean wrestling ssireumand the custom of cooking Pyongyang-style cold noodles. The paper analyses the reasons for including these particular objects into the List and discusses the goals that North Korean authorities set by nominating their objects into the List. These goals are, first, the possibility to present Korean national culture to the world and get additional international security measures. Second, any positive experience of international cooperation is precious for the DPRK. Third, by participating in this program the DPRK can achieve image benefits, as well as have its say in the inter-Korean controversy over national cultural identity. К началу 2023 г. в основном списке мирового нематериального культурного наследия ЮНЕСКО зарегистрировано четыре северокорейских объекта: народная песня “Ариран”, традиция заготовки овощей на зиму кимчжан, национальная борьба ссирым и практика приготовления холодной лапши по-пхеньянски пхёнъян рэнмён. В статье анализируются причины номинации и включения в список именно этих, а не других элементов, а также обсуждаются цели, которые преследуют власти КНДР, номинируя свои объекты в данный список. Это, во-первых, возможность предоставлять миру свою культуру и получать дополнительные гарантии её сохранности; во-вторых, положительный опыт международного сотрудничества; в-третьих, имиджевые выгоды. Кроме того, участие в данной международной программе позволяет КНДР отстаивать своё видение национальной культуры в межкорейском диалоге. |
