| Description: | The article discusses certain milestones in the spread of Christianity in the territory of modern Uzbekistan from the 1st to the 10th centuries. A separate place is given to the question of the connection between the penetration of Christianity into this region with the apostolic mission of the first disciples of Christ, the apostles Thomas and St. Andrew the First-Called. The insufficiently studied issue of the existence in Shash / Chach (the current territory of the Tashkent region) in the VIII–XIII centuries is also considered. В статье рассматриваются отдельные вехи распространения христианства на территории современного Узбекистана с I по Х в. Оcобое место уделяется вопросу о связи проникновения христианства в этот регион с апостольской миссией первых учеников Христа, апостолов Фомы и Андрея Первозванного. Рассматриваются основные этапы внутри этого значительного периода; в частности, связанные с разделением церквей и обособлением несторианства. На основании письменных источников и археологических находок, анализируются свидетельства о распространении христианства в Самарканде, Бухаре, Хорезме, а также среди кочевников-эфталитов. |
