Бывшие вредители и объекты пест-контроля, которые многие годы подвергались масштабному уничтожению медицинскими, дезинфекционными и санитарными службами, все чаще привлекают внимание природоохранных организаций и попадают в списки редких и охраняемых видов. В их числе европейский Spermophilus citellus (Linnaeus, 1766) и крапчатый Spermophilus suslicus (Güldenstädt, 1770) суслики. В прошлом – вредители, а в настоящее время охраняемые виды. Европейский суслик занесен в Международный красный список (IUCN) с категорией endangered (угрожаемый). Охраняется во многих европейских государствах в рамках национальных программ. Ведутся активные успешные работы по его восстановлению (реакклиматизация, переселение, разведение). Крапчатый суслик – тоже стремительно сокращающийся по всему ареалу вид. Занесен в региональные красные книги России, Красную книгу Российской Федерации (категория 2 – сокращающийся в численности и/или распространении вид; статус угрозы «и» – исчезающий), а также красные книги Польши, Украины, Беларуси и Молдовы. В международном Красном списке находится под категорией VU – уязвимый. Несколько лет назад начаты работы по реинтродукции крапчатого суслика. Первая реинтродуцированная колония успешно развивается в Ломовском природном ландшафтном парке в Воронежской области. The European ground squirrel is listed on the IUCN International Red List as Endangered. It is protected in many European states by national laws. Active work is underway to restore it (reacclimatization, resettlement, breeding). Speckled ground squirrel is also a rapidly declining species throughout its range. It is listed in the regional Red Data Books of Russia, the Red Data Book of the Russian Federation (category 2 – species declining in numbers and/or distribution; threat status «I» - disappearing), as well as the Red Data Books of Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. It is on the international Red List with the VUvulnerable category. A few years ago, work began on the reintroduction of the speckled ground squirrel. Now the first reintroduced colony is successfully developing in the Lomovskoy Natural Landscape Park in the Voronezh region. Work is underway and there is hope for success. |
