Considering the global significance of the Agile methodology and the role it plays in shaping the nature of collaborative software engineering environments, this initiative integrates ISE with Agile software development methods—specifically regarding the aspects of distribution, lightweight software development methods, and software development requirements. This research seeks to bridge existing gaps in the understanding of Agile team performance, the challenges inherent in distributed software development, and the effectiveness of decision-making processes. In this context, an evaluation model is proposed here with the aim of enhancing the productivity and quality of contemporary software engineering methodologies. This study employs a weighted summation method for multi-criteria decision-making. It involves data normalization, weight determination, and aggregation to rank Agile options based on established performance criteria. According to the results, the Lean Team achieved the highest ranking, followed by XP and Kanban. Conversely, Scrum and Hybrid Agile yielded relatively lower performance results. This study confirms that Agile software development methodologies can be effectively evaluated using WSM; this not only facilitates the making of more informed decisions but also paves the way for determining the performance of Lean and XP software development methodologies.
