Аннотация. В статье изучен вопрос происхождения раннехристианского погребального искусства Херсонеса, его сюжетов, мотивов и символов, проводятся параллели с системой росписи сирийского города Дура-Европос. Сделан вывод, что система росписи позднеантичных христианских склепов Херсонеса была перенята с Ближнего Востока. Среди сюжетов особый интерес представляют изображения юношей со свечами, которые по аналогии с Дура-Европос могли символизировать погребальную процессию. Abstract. The article examines the question of the origin of the early Christian funerary art of Chersoneses, it’s plots, motifs and symbols, and draws parallels with the painting system of the Syrian city of Dura-Europos. It is concluded that the painting system of the late Antique Christian crypts of Chersonesos was adopted from the Middle East. Among the subjects, images of young men with candles are of particular interest, which, by analogy with Dura-Europos, could symbolize a funeral procession. |
