| Description: | The relevance of the article is due to the role of Self-esteem in the personal development of a teenager, in his socio-psychological adaptation. The purpose of the article is to identify both the features of Self-esteem of adolescents with mental retardation, and the relationship of the Significant other with the development of Self-esteem. The author makes a suggestion that the process of reflecting the opinion of others and forming Self-esteem under its influence in adolescents with mental retardation can simultaneously be weakened by the specifics of the development of individuals in this group, and be strengthened. The relationship between self-esteem and the indicator of Significant other in adolescents with mental retardation has been experimentally proved, but the index of Significant other in mental retardation is significantly lower in comparison with the index of adolescents with normative development. Актуальность статьи обусловлена ролью самооценки в личностном развитии подростка, в его социально-психологической адаптации. Цель статьи заключается в выявлении как особенностей самооценки подростков с умственной отсталостью, так и роли значимого другого в развитии самооценки. Автором сформулировано предположение о том, что процесс отражения мнения окружающих и формирования под его влиянием самооценки у подростков с умственной отсталостью одновременно может как ослабляться, так и усиливаться. Экспериментальным путем доказана взаимосвязь между самооценкой и показателем значимого другого у подростков с умственной отсталостью, но при этом индекс значимого другого при умственной отсталости значительно ниже в сравнении с индексом подростков с нормативным развитием. №139(2) (2020) |
