A recent study conducted by researchers at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in China investigated the mechanisms and key active compounds of Danhong injection (DHI) in protecting against brain damage caused by cardiac ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. The study utilized bioinformatics, computer simulation, and experimental validation to identify common differentially expressed genes (cDEGs) and active compounds of DHI. The results indicated that TNF-alpha is considered to be the core target, and tanshinone IIA (TSIIA) in DHI showed a significant inhibitory effect on inflammatory damage. This study provides new insights for future drug development in treating brain damage caused by cardiac I/R injury. [Extracted from the article] |
