Abstract: The article discusses the functions of the copyright law "Statute of Anne Act." It states that the copyright law facilitates public access to knowledge and a range of uses of creative works of authorship, helps educate the populace, enrich the culture and promote free expression. It highlights the importance of Internet and World Wide Web that have destabilized the copyright industry sectors as the economics of creating, publishing and disseminating information-rich works.
