| Abstract (English): |
The aim of this study is to adapt a multidimensional self-concept assessment tool for adults into Turkish and introduce it to the national literature. The study sample consisted of 568 adults aged 18 to 65. During data collection, the Demographic Information Form, Harter Self-Perception Profile for Adults, Social Comparison Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale were administered. Analysis results showed that the adapted scale differed from the original version and included six subdimensions and 34 items: sociability, professional and mental skills, close relationships and support to others, managing daily life, physical perception, and self-esteem. The findings indicated that the scale demonstrated high reliability and validity. In conclusion, the adapted scale was found to be suitable for use with Turkish adult samples. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkçe literatürde eksik olduğu düşünülen yetişkinlere yönelik güncel çok bileşenli bir benlik kavramı değerlendirme aracının ulusal literatürde kullanıma kazandırmaktır. Çalışmanın örneklemi 18- 65 yaş aralığında bulunan 568 yetişkin kişiden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde, Demografik Bilgi Formu, Harter Yetişkinler İçin Benlik Algısı Profili, Sosyal Karşılaştırma Ölçeği, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre ölçeğin orijinal versiyonundan farklı bir yapı gösterdiği, bu bağlamda sosyallik, mesleki ve zihinsel beceri, yakın ilişkiler ve diğer insanlara destek olma, gündelik hayatı idare etme, fiziksel algı ve özdeğer olmak üzere toplam 6 alt boyuttan ve 34 maddeden oluştuğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ölçeğin güvenirlik ve diğer ölçeklerle olan ilişkileri açısından da istatistiki olarak yeterli düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak ölçeğin Türkiye örneklemi için oluşturulan yeni halinin araştırmalarda kullanılması uygun bulunmuştur. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
