Περίληψη: We will discuss the principles of teaching the Fundamentals of Computer 3D Modelling course, which is taught to first-year students in the IT study program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The course is also the only one in this study program where students encounter the principles of engineering, constructive geometry, and graphics. The course curriculum was developed so that students would first master the principles of geometry and graphics, which they have almost no prior knowledge of, and then apply those principles in existing commercial software packages. We will present the principles of preparing course materials, and then outline the adaptation of the original plan and program to meet students' needs and their knowledge in geometry and graphics.
