To address the problems of low planting efficiency and yield caused by the current heavy reliance on manual planting of tuber mustard heads, as well as the difficulty of existing vegetable planting machinery in meeting its specific agronomic requirements due to the tiny size of tuber mustard seeds, a method combining DEM-MBD (EDEM-Recurdyn) coupled simulation technology and bench test verification was adopted. Taking the number of holes n of the metering device of the tuber mustard direct seeder, the rotational speed of the seed metering wheel ω, and the forward speed of the whole machine v as experimental factors, and the plant spacing x of sown tuber mustard seeds by the metering device as the experimental index, a BBD experiment was designed on the basis of single-factor experiments. The mathematical model among the three factors was established using Design Expert software, so as to determine the relevant parameter values conforming to the planting spacing of tuber mustard seeds. The results showed that both the number of holes n and the rotational speed of the seed metering wheel (were negatively correlated with the sowing plant spacing x, while the forward speed of the whole machine v was positively correlated with x. The optimal parameter combination was n = 6, ω = 1.9 rad/s, v = 0.6 m/s. Under this combination, the simulated sowing plant spacing x = 33.068 cm, and the field test verified spacing x = 32.96 cm, which complied with the standardized agronomic regulations for breeding and cultivation of tuber mustard varieties. The established mathematical model had a high correlation coefficient (R² = 0.994 3), indicating good prediction accuracy and reliability. The experimental results could improve the sowing quality of tuber mustard and provide a new approach for its mechanized planting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
