The paper touches upon the experience of applying e-learning technologies in mathematics in the contemporary higher educational institutions. The authors share the opinion that e-learning components, included methodologically adequately in learning, can ensure productive mathematics learning properly. Proprietary computer software, online simulators, web games, online test constructors are used when giving mathematics training course that allows for an interactive interaction component of e-learning technologies to implement. Moreover, students get an opportunity to practise various computational skills on their own with no teacher's control. The paper presents the results of an experiment carried out among the 1st year engineering students over the past five years. The educational experiment proved the effectiveness of interactive computer programs, simulators, web games and online tests in mathematics e-learning. In particular, qualitative academic progress in the experimental group improved by 8%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
