| Abstract: | Background: At the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), a survey was conducted to determine practice management strategies among the AAHKS members. Methods: An app was used by the AAHKS members to answer both multiple-choice and "yes" or "no" questions related to practice management issues. Results: Overall, private practice (41%) is still the most common form of practice by AAHKS members, but hospital employment (31%) has increased. Relative value units are now more common (35%) than fee for service (32%) with respect to compensation. Outpatient total joint arthroplasty is now the norm. Conclusions: The AAHKS member survey provides critical information regarding the practice patterns of AAHKS members, compensation, and the shift to same-day surgery. (Copyright © 2026.
