Abstract: Phages employ sophisticated transcriptional regulatory networks to optimize replication. Recently, Silverman et al. used RIL-seq (RNA interaction by ligation and sequencing) to reveal an additional layer of regulation and uncovered the Hfq-mediated posttranscriptional regulon of the model phage lambda.
