Περίληψη: The article reports on the challenges organizations face in converting successful project delivery into sustainable operational performance, often referred to as the "last mile" of capital projects. It identifies a persistent paradox where projects completed on time and on budget frequently fail to achieve the intended operational outcomes. The author proposes viewing Operational Readiness not merely as a set of project activities, but as a dynamic organizational capability developed through two dimensions: a Structural dimension comprising People, Systems and Processes, Organization, and Assets, and a Developmental dimension progressing through Awareness, Preparedness, and Readiness states. This unified conceptualization aims to provide a common language for integrating various disciplines and improving the transition from construction to live operations. [Extracted from the article]
