The article presents a transcript of a roundtable discussion on the Peruvian literary group Movimiento Kloaka, held on August 14, 2012 at the Auditorio Miraflores in Lima, Peru. An historical overview of Peruvian poetry during the 1980s is given, focusing on the influence of social context on literature. Other subjects discussed include mestizaje in literature, Indian influence on Peruvian culture, and the term neo-baroque. |
