Περίληψη: This study develops and validates an empirical mathematical model for predicting the drying kinetics of agricultural products under varying natural solar radiation intensities. The model evaluates the relationship between product mass reduction and changes in solar radiation In, enabling the determination of an optimal drying range within 600–800 J/m²s. Experiments conducted on apples and onions using composite film and conventional film solar dryers demonstrated high predictive accuracy, with average deviations between calculated and experimental data ranging from 2.9% to 5.1%. Real meteorological solar energy data were used to ensure practical applicability. All dried samples fully met State Standard and sanitary requirements, confirming the reliability of the proposed methodology. The results show that the developed approach provides an energy-efficient, environmentally sustainable, and technologically feasible solution for solar-based agricultural product drying processes.
