Περίληψη: Society is very concerned with the mobility of those who are physically challenged or disabled. This project aims at creating a mobility device that will help persons with physical disabilities move about. The wheels are moved by DC geared motors, allowing the chair to travel at a slower pace, which is more suitable for those with physical disabilities. Since the wheelchair is referred to as an electric or powered wheelchair, this study uses lead acid batteries, which are safe, reusable, and lighter than alternative options. The wheelchair will be equipped with MEMS and buttons that allow the user to control its movements through simple gestures or movements. The use of MEMS will provide a more intuitive and accessible way of controlling the wheelchair, compared to traditional joystick-based systems. The proposed system is designed to work in different environments like in closed rooms and open-air. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
