| Summary: | The objectives of this diploma thesis are the usability evaluation and the redesign of an information system. The aquaManager, an application of the company i2S S.A. (https://www.aqua-manager.com/), is responsible for fish farming operations and has been adopted in many fish units in Greece and abroad. In a first stage, an empirical heuristic evaluation of the system's usability design, is carried out to identify potential or non, problems. Data that has been gathered, from key screens’ crucial areas, is handed out to aquaManager’s team members, beginning the process of design and improvement. Research starts, based on a few observations and themes that were considered important and fundamental for the redesign of UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience). At the final phase, evaluations of the created products and the redesigned ones, are presented. An evaluation of the high-fidelity mock - ups has also been done. Follow steps and future actions are proposed, for User - centered design orientation. |
