Bronze age--Egypt Διδακτορική διατριβή The proposal research entitled “The introduction of foreign deities in Egypt during the Late Bronze Age” focuses on: a. the appearance of Syro-palestinian deities in the archaeological material, revealing the royal and non-royal religious beliefs and practices in state cult and personal piety. b. Another research question, which will be included in the present research, is the manifestation of Syro-palestinian deities in the political field, as the previous researches have been studied their association with military campaigns. In this research, their appearances on campaigns, treaties, diplomatic marriages, Amarna letters will be demonstrated and other aspects of their appearances and their roles will be revealed. c. Apart from the political context, their relations with pharaohs and their preferences to Syro-palestinian deities are also several research questions, which will be involved to her dissertation. d. Previous studies have also studied the manifestations of Syro-palestinian deities on the higher ranks. In present research, the introduction of these deities in the lower ranks and their roles and qualities will be demonstrated. e. Among to the questions, the iconographical analysis is also essential for the study of these deities, as the iconographical development of Syro-palestinian deities in relation to their adopted role and interconnection with the political rulership can be studied. Due to the fact that, the iconographical developments include cultural contacts of Egypt with Levant, the proposed research will examine the cultural contacts, with a special focus on the functions and characteristics of Syro-palestinian deities in Near East and Egypt. f. Several past studies have treated the assimilation of Syro-Palestinian deities in Egypt without including the reasons of their importation and their contributions in the Egyptian policy and religion. A comprehensive analysis of all relevant textual and iconographical sources in both royal and non-royal Egyptian contexts is still wanting. This doctoral dissertation will attempt to cover this gap by examining the causes of their introduction and their contributions in the Egyptian policy and religion. The present research is supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) and the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), under the HFRI PhD fellowship Grant. Η εισαγωγή των Συροπαλαιστινιακών θεοτήτων στην Αίγυπτο παρατηρείται την περίοδο, όπου η χώρα επεκτείνεται πολιτικά, μέσω πολεμικών εκστρατειών, στην Εγγύς Ανατολή. Σε ένα αρκετά συμπαγές αρχαιολογικό υλικό το οποίο προέρχεται από την Αίγυπτο και την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Συροπαλαιστίνης σκαραβαίοι, στήλες, σφραγίδες και πλακίδια πιστοποιούν την εμφάνιση/αφομοίωση των ξένων θεοτήτων στην Αίγυπτο και δημιουργούν αρκετά ερωτήματα που αφορούν τα αίτια εισαγωγής τους, την χρήση τους από τα ανώτερα και κατώτερα κοινωνικά στρώματα καθώς και την ταύτιση τους με τις Αιγυπτιακές θεότητες. Ο σκοπός της ομιλίας είναι α) να αναδείξει τη συμβολή της Αιγυπτιακής πολιτικής στην περιοχή της Συροπαλαιστίνης, β) να ερμηνεύσει την εισαγωγή ξένων θεοτήτων από την Εγγύς Ανατολή καθώς και την επιρροή τους στο θρησκευτικό σύστημα της αρχαίας Αιγύπτου κατά την ΥΕΧ, γ) να αναδείξει την επίσημη θρησκεία και να τη διαχωρίσει από την προσωπική λατρεία στην Αίγυπτο και δ) να επανεξετάσει το σχετικό αρχαιολογικό υλικό και την εικονογραφία της Εγγύς Ανατολής και της Αιγύπτου (σκαραβαίοι, σφραγίδες, πλακίδια και ειδώλια). 2022-05-10T12:06:45Z 2022-05-10T12:06:45Z 2022-03-22 http://hdl.handle.net/11610/23701 el_GR CC0 1.0 Παγκόσμια http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ 472 σ. application/pdf Ρόδος
