| description | Τhe present study attempts to promote school development through communication between school and family. The configuration of a systemic communication model, capable of ensuring most of all the communication between school and family systems as a prerequisite for development of schools in a form of interaction, while reducing the complexity of these two systems, is attempted after studying the various sociological approaches and school theories, the so far applied communication/cooperation school-family models and stepping on the theory of social systems by N. Luhmann.
The application of a systemic model in education for the communication between school and family can lead to school development. Regardless of how one perceives school education , teaching and learning in general is a matter of communication. Communication is the reason why human civilization has been developed and also epistemological and technological miracles have been achieved. The suggested systemic model is accompanied by a survey trying to capture the existing school and family communication pathways and not to record their perceptions, which has already been explored in one way or another in previous researches.
The perception of N. Luhmann for the communication is entirely different from the hitherto approaches. The differentiation lies to the following points: a. The subject and the human being are blank forms in a system being situated in high complexity, b. Basic social concepts are "action" and "communication" (Luhmann, 1977). According to N. Luhmann communication requires involvement of conscious systems and not people. Communication's procedure requires at least two mentally systems. According to his aspect, not all people are able to communicate, any capacity they have. Communication can communicate only in a communications network, producing action (Luhmann, 1988).
In the first section of this thesis are presented the theoretical fundamentals and the theoretical framework of the study, while the second presents the research data. |
