| Περίληψη: | The dissertation describes the ways that the biggest cruise companies use, in order to successfully fund their multiple activities. Currently the three biggest cruise companies are Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, Carnival Corporation & plc and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. In the beginning of this dissertation there is a thorough run through the history of the cruise industry, but also the history of the cruise companies mentioned above. There is also a small summary of the the brands that each company owns and the fleet that each one of them have. Moving on, there is information about financing and the most popular methods companies use in general, like private funds, capital markets etc so that they can come across with their expenses. Then there is an analysis about which of them Royal Caribbean, Carnival Corporation and Norwegian Cruise Line use, in order to get the funds that they need to grow stronger and bigger every single year. At the end there is a finding, describing how badly coronavirus has impacted the profits of the cruise industry and some ideas that they will apply in order to avoid a bigger and greater damage. |
