| Περίληψη: | This particular thesis describes the most prominent problems that a ship-owner may face regarding the new SOx emission regulations that are going to be imposed by the IMO. The main problem that the thesis is exploring is the economical impact that these new regulations may have on the maritime industry. The future fuel prices as well as the cost of an EGCS installation are thoroughly examined. The answer to this problem is not clear yet, but this thesis is trying find an answer to this major issue. |
