| Περίληψη: | The typical method of teaching, a classroom with an instructor talking and students listening, is still the norm in most schools. Though, the students have evolve and their learning style is changing. More and more students are, what we call, active learners. Active learners tend to learn better through physical activity. The main objective of this study is to present a case study of collaborative algorithm teaching in the context of a classroom, based on activities. These activities engaged a paper block-based model for creating algorithms in physical language that has been designed especially for this study and Scratch environment. Algorithmic logic is a fundamental concept for teaching Computer Science for novices in programming. Interesting findings of this study concern the learning impact of this didactic approach and the challenges of programming for novices students. |
