Σκοπός της εργασίας αυτής είναι να διερευνήσουμε αν τα παιδιά προσχολικής ηλικίας μπορούν να κατασκευάσουν δικά τους προβλήματα πρόσθεσης και αφαίρεσης. Όσο αφορά την δομή της εργασίας, αρχικά αναφερθήκαμε στις διάφορες θεωρίες μάθησης και διδασκαλίας των σχολικών μαθηματικών. Στην συνέχεια, στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναφερθήκαμε στις αριθμητικές έννοιες και στο τρόπο που τα παιδιά χρησιμοποιώντας διάφορες μεθόδους, αφομοιώνουν τους αριθμούς. Στο κεφάλαιο αυτό αναφερθήκαμε επίσης στην επίλυση προβλημάτων πρόσθεσης και αφαίρεσης.

Στην συνέχεια, στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναφερθήκαμε στις αριθμητικές έννοιες και στο τρόπο που τα παιδιά χρησιμοποιώντας διάφορες μεθόδους, αφομοιώνουν τους αριθμούς. Στο κεφάλαιο αυτό αναφερθήκαμε επίσης στην επίλυση προβλημάτων πρόσθεσης και αφαίρεσης. Aim of this work is to investigate if the children of preschool age can manufacture their own problems of addition and abstraction. As long as the structure of the work is concerned, initially we referred to the various theories of learning and teaching of school mathematics so that we can comprehend the ways that the children engage the significances and constitute the knowledge. Then, in the second chapter referred to the numerical significances and in the way that the children used various methods and absorbed the numbers. We observe that the children in order to structure the crowd of ideas that is related with the number, should deal with activities that will help them. In this chapter we mentioned the resolution of problems of addition and abstraction, stressing the fact that it constitutes a integral piece of learning of mathematics since it helps the child to acquire new information that previously were unknown to them.Additionally, we referred to the manufacture of problems of addition and abstraction, formulating and certain researches that were presented at intervals, that strengthen this significance. Continuing, the 3 capital is based in the planning of research, in the aim, in the questions that were placed in the children and in the phases of research. In the 4th chapter we formulated the results that we brought, that is to say how much the children corresponded positively in the manufacture of problems.
