Σκοπός αυτής της εργασίας είναι να εξετάσει αν είναι δυνατή η εφαρμογή των υπαρχόντων μεθόδων διαχείρισης επικινδυνότητας στο υπολογιστικό νέφος. Αρχικά γίνεται μια ανάλυση των ρίσκων για οργανισμούς που βρίσκονται στο υπολογιστικό νέφος και στη συνέχεια μια ανάλυση των διαθέσιμων εργαλείων ασφάλεια...

| 520 | 8 | |a The purpose of this dissertation is to examine if the risk management methods that are applied in traditional IT environments are applicable for organizations that have migrated to Cloud or for organizations that are planning to migrate to Cloud. The structure and basic characteristics of Cloud Computing is not something new in the information and technology industry. It has been introduced and foreseen in the early days of networking and now through the available resources is has come to fruition. Cloud computing comes with many advantages and benefits for organizations and client that choose to adopt Cloud services. Advantages include, high scalability, on demand service, pay per use and many others. All these though can be overshadowed by threats vulnerabilities that also originate from Cloud Computing. So to take advantage of the benefits of cloud computing and avoid the risk a risk management method is needed. Risk management helps identify risks, evaluate their importance and finally manage them. This creates a question; “Can organisations apply risk management methods that are designed to manage risk outside the Cloud?”We investigate this question and attempt to answer that question in this thesis. To do that we present the main risks arising from cloud, we assess the security tools that are available now, we present the main methodology for managing risk and we propose a risk management method that is specific for Public Cloud. | |
