Abstract: This study investigates an online VR Training program incorporating a multisensory experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) to capture and report automated performance data and identify areas where additional learning may be required. The authors discuss firefighters' experiences with the online VR Training program, which uses technology-mediated learning (TML). Specifically, the authors use a mixed-methods approach during a focus group session to report on firefighters' perceptions of the usability of the VR Training program, which combines visual and tactile feedback in a non-traditional training environment, as well as their experiences using the system. The authors present a critical review of the VR Training program and offer recommendations to improve the pilot study. The authors also report the limitations of the study as well as identify future research related to the refinement of the design and development of the training, considering learning outcomes, learning experiences, and learning attitudes of the firefighters.
