| Περίληψη: | Rural school districts face unique challenges in retaining teachers. To reduce teacher turnover and improve retention, rural district leaders must understand which working conditions they can influence and how those working conditions can affect teachers' decisions to stay. This guide draws on evidence-based resources to provide ways for rural district leaders and teams to systematically work to improve teacher working conditions. It provides a structured process and resources to help leaders and a working conditions core team use research and local data to examine working conditions, identify opportunities for improvement, implement improvement strategies, and monitor and adjust efforts over time. By carrying out this process and using the resources, districts may reduce teacher turnover and the number of teaching positions that need to be filled every year. |
