Περίληψη: This report describes and evaluates the major computer software packages capable of computing standard errors for statistics estimated from complex samples. It first describes the problem and the proposed solutions. The two major programs presently available, SUPER CARP and OSIRIS, are described in general terms. The kinds of statistics available from each program and the methods of solution each employs are discussed. The program documentation and ease of deck setup are compared, and the cost of acquiring and running the programs is presented. Appendix 1 contains technical papers on the programs and Appendix 2 describes the major features and options of one program more fully. (Author/JAZ)
