Περιγραφή: Esta tesis doctoral tiene como objetivo central conocer el impacto que los Tribunales de Tratamiento de Adicciones tienen en el proceso de desistimiento delincuencial de las personas que pasan por ellos. Para lograrlo, este documento presenta la noción teórica del desistimiento delincuencial como postura desde la cual observar la realidad de las personas que abandonan la delincuencia y las estrategias del sistema penal que pueden ayudar a lograrlo; y después de explorar la relación entre consumo de drogas y delincuencia; y explicar el punto de vista teórico que da lugar a los Tribunales de Tratamiento de Adicciones de Nuevo León, por medio de una metodología cualitativa se resalta su potencial para el desistimiento de los participantes, desarrollado principalmente mediante estrategias relacionales entre los profesionales y los participantes derivadas de la Justicia Terapéutica y mediante las relaciones entre los participantes mismos.
Description (Translated): The main aim of this PhD dissertation is to identify the impact of the ‘Tribunales de Tratamiento de Adicciones de Nuevo León’ in the desistance process of the individuals who participate in the programme. To achieve this, this document first presents the theoretical notion of desistance and the criminal justice system strategies that could help to achieve it. After exploring the relationship between drug use and crime, the origin of specialized Courts is explained. The final chapter of this dissertation presents an empirical research undertaken in the Tribunales de Tratamiento de Adicciones in Nuevo León, one such specialized Court, using qualitative methodology. The results of this research highlight the potential of the Tribunales de Tratamiento de Adicciones for assisting the desistance process of its participants, developed mainly by relational strategies between professionals and participants derived from Therapeutic Jurisprudence and the relationships between the participants themselves.
