| Περιγραφή: | EN: This work presents a minimal and natural explanation for the observed acceleration of the universe without invoking mysterious “dark energy.” At its core lies the Planck spacetime cell: σₚ = ħ·G / c⁴ = ℓₚ·tₚ, a fundamental quantum of spacetime with clean dimension L·T (length × time). From this we define a dimensionless spacetime fine-structure number α_σ = σₚ / (R·t), where R is the radius of the observable universe (~46 Gly) and t its age (~13.8 Gyr). Numerical evaluation gives: α_σ ≈ 4.6 × 10⁻¹²³, exactly matching the observed ratio of vacuum to Planck energy density. This transforms the “cosmological constant problem” from a paradox into a natural scaling relation of quantized spacetime. Key implications: Cosmic acceleration emerges from a quantized causal network without modifying Einstein’s equations, introducing exotic fields, or adding free parameters. Testable predictions include a nearly constant equation-of-state parameter w ≈ −1, with possible percent-level deviations measurable by upcoming surveys. Addendum: Alongside the product ℓₚ·tₚ = ħ·G / c⁴, the ratio ℓₚ / tₚ = c also holds. Thus, both the smallest spacetime quantum (product) and the maximal causal speed (quotient) are uniquely fixed by {ħ, c, G}. |
