Περιγραφή: M.Phil. ; When images or video sequences are captured with the objects positioned behind turbulent media, for instance turbulent air or flowing water, light travel in distorted paths to the camera owing to the spatiotemporal variations in the refractive index of the media. As a result, the images or frames in the video sequences would contain deformed versions of true depictions of the objects. This problem is particularly prominent in meteorological and military observations, as they involve long-range and underwater photography in which the distortion effects accumulate over large amounts of turbulent media. It is of research and practical interest to remove the degradation effects to facilitate clear object identification and analysis. This thesis serves as a survey of the state-of-the-art methods employed to tackle the above turbulence removal problem. It aims to describe the strengths and limitations of the methods, and suggest directions for developing more effective deturbulence techniques. ; 當攝影器材與攝影對象之間的流態介體(如空氣、流水)存在亂流,介體的折射率會因應位置和時間變動,令光綫循曲折路徑抵達攝影成像組件。因此,在上述情形下拍攝的照片及影片不乏扭曲失真。相機與攝影對象之間距離愈遠,光綫路徑愈見曲折,抵達成像組件的落點誤差亦隨距離累加;而氣象觀測和軍事偵察均牽涉遠距離攝像,受以上問題困擾尤甚。由此可見,排除亂流帶來的影響可以輔助圖像内容分析,既有研究價值,亦具實際用途。内文將引述數篇近年發表的文章,探討亂流損害圖像的各種修復方法。我們將評論每個算法的長處與局限,嘗試歸納出「影像去亂流」研究的未來方向。 ; Lai, Yu Hin. ; Thesis M.Phil.
