Περιγραφή: In this Master’s Thesis (MT) digital simulation is presented as a tool for improving productivity in construction projects. As is evident, the construction industry is a sector with one of the lowest productivity rates. Its particular characteristics such as the labor variability, the temporary nature of the projects, the low learning curve, the creation of unique products, the low or null investment in research and development, etc. differentiate it from other industries. In order to face this problem, several studies related to the improvement of productivity in construction have been developed, among them those related to the analysis of construction operations are those that are part of this research since they involve labor, machinery, workspace, materials. among others. For the design of construction operations, simulation is a suitable option, since it allows modeling processes in a realistic way, it is also low cost, fast and flexible (Martinez, 1996). The present research focuses on trying to solve through digital simulation process improvement problems in two real estate projects in Lima, Perú, the first focused on increasing labor productivity and the second focused on improving process flow. To develop the simulation models in the present research, the steps proposed by Law and Kelton (2000) were followed, which is summarized in the following steps: Understanding the project, observation and collection of project data, construction of simulation model, analysis of results and the search for and implementation of solutions.
